Warning Sign
Blocked - Santa Anita at Lower Azusa

reader sent these before-and-after photos of the Santa Anita / Lower
Azusa intersection,
showing that a required warning sign (see
Defect # 4) was blocked by a palm tree, until March 11, 2005.
The obscured warning sign would affect the validity of all tickets at
that
intersection, not just the southbound left turn. The photos are
date-stamped.
The first two photos show the sign, and the tree before it was trimmed.

In the
pre-trimming photo below, you can see just the upper left corner of the
sign, peeking out from behind the palm fronds.
The next two photos show that the tree has been trimmed, with fresh cuts.
