Prevailing Wage Law

New 3-11-14, updated 9-19-14

In California and many other states, contractors doing public works projects are supposed to pay union-like Prevailing Wages to their construction employees.

California's Department of Industrial Relations ("DIR" www.dir.ca.gov) has ruled that the installation work done by camera companies and their subcontractors is to be paid at Prevailing Wage rates.

On this page - alphabetized by city name - you will find some of those rulings, some lawsuits, and other related documents.   More will be added soon.
